“Are you still Nasty?” Exhibition Submission Info
This is the second exhibition from Nasty Women North East and we are asking, “Are you still Nasty?”
Nasty Women North East will be hosting the first ever international Nasty Women Conference at Though Foundation Clarity House, Durham Road, Birtley, DH3 2TB, UK, on Thursday, November the 16th and Friday, November the 17th 2017.
In addition to this we are curating an art and activism exhibition entitled “Are You Still Nasty?” which will open on the last night of the conference 6.30pm Fri Nov 17th.
This is an exhibition for all- no need to be an, artist, a women or particularly Nasty!
We are proud to be part of the International Nasty Women network and welcome work from anyone who identifies as being a Nasty Woman. For us this is not a physical, party political or biological definition. We want this exhibition to include work from a wildly eclectic collection of Nasty Women!
Nearly a year on from the start of the movement, are you still Nasty? We want your passion and creativity. We are looking for a broad answer of what still makes you nasty? New to the movement? Do not worry we want your story too. This is an exhibition to bring Nasty Women together again. This time reflecting on the movement or how you see it in the future.
There is no need for work to be new or to explicitly reflect the theme.
